The Word Explained (Acton translation)

Esta é uma tradução de: Verbum Explicatum

Traduzido em English por Alfred Acton II

Descrição:

Swedenborg's interests gradually shifted from the physical sciences to life sciences -- biology, anatomy, and the human body -- especially the brain. He was exploring the interaction between the soul and the body, and - more and more - felt that he needed to approach the topic from a spiritual perspective, i.e. that anatomy wasn't going to find the soul -- but that human spirituality was a deep reality that needed to be better understood. In this work, Swedenborg wrote this extensive manuscript in an initial effort to explain the internal meaning of portions of the Old Testament.

It is sometimes referred to by the name "Adversaria in Libros Veteris Testamenti", or just Adversaria, which was the title used by Tafel in "Documents concerning Swedenborg".
